Do Dermal Fillers get a bad rap?

Why do fillers get a bad rap?

Who is still too shy to talk about their botox treatment or their plump and filled lips?

There are many men and women in the world that are interested in Dermal Filler treatments but a low percentage of those interested actually do filler treatments.  75% of people worry about wrinkles but such a low percentage of those people actually pursue dermal filler treatments as a way to improve the wrinkles they do not like.

Why is that? Because they:

  • “Do not want to look like that”
  • “Do not want people to know”
  • “Do not want to look overdone”

At our Anti-Aging Clinic, we get it. Aging is hard.  As we wake up and look in the mirror,  we see changes that bother us.

  • What is happening?
  • What can we do about it?
  • Where do I go?
  • Which procedure do I need?

You have all the questions and at RevitalyzeMD, we want to help you find the solutions.

Most of the dermal fillers used are hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers. There are different manufacturers, names and qualities that make each Dermal filler product unique.

It is always good to have a foundational understanding of dermal fillers.

Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a substance that is found in our skin naturally but HA lessens as we age. The loss of Hyaluronic acide (HA) causes a decrease in our skin volume and hydration. These HA injectable fillers replenish our stores of hyaluronic acid, providing fullness and elasticity back to our skin. Because hyaluronic acid is an integral substance in our body, the filler material is gradually absorbed into the body over time.

Unlike hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers, biostimulatory fillers help stimulate your skin’s own natural collagen production. This natural Collagen stimulation helps restore the skin’s  inner structure and increase facial volume that has been lost to aging. Your body will degrade and metabolize this product over a much longer period of time than the hyaluronic acid fillers.

During this time, this type of filler stimulates collagen formation itself, contributing to improved viscosity and elasticity of your skin – resulting in a more youthful appearance.

  • Radiesse filler injection result in immediate improvement with volume replacement. The results continue to improve with regeneration of collagen and elastin. This also improves the quality of the skin.

There are lots of fillers on the market.  The filler companies will promote with discounts and tout a specific filler to be superior to others. All dermal fillers have a role in replacing volume loss and helping create a more beautiful youthful appearance as we age.
