How the Ketogenic Nutrition Plan Can Enhance Your Peptide Program

Maximize Your Energy & Results With KETOGENIC Diet & Nutrition

The RevitalyzeMD Peptide Program utilizes the Ketogenic nutrition plan during the 6 month program.  There are many benefits to this nutrition plan such as:

  • Weight loss and improved body composition
  • Reduces risk of some cancers
  • Improves cardiovascular health
  • Improved brain function and cognition
  • Lowers blood pressure and triglycerides

The Ketogenic diet was founded by Dr. Russell Wilder at the Mayo Clinic and is one of the primary methods to shift metabolism pathways in the body, specifically to shift to using fat as fuel instead of carbohydrates.  Ketosis is typically achieved in 2-4 days of following nutrition guidelines that focus on specific percentages of macronutrients:

  • 70% of daily calories from fats
  • 20% of daily calories from proteins
  • 10% of daily calories from carbohydrates
    • Carbohydrate intake is based on net carbs which is Carbohydrates – Fiber = Net Carbs
    • Restrict carbs to 20-50 grams per day

By limiting your carb intake and increasing fat intake, the body will switch to breaking down fat and will enter into ketosis.  Food intake is limited to low carb vegetables (with the exception of corn, potatoes, root veggies, and carrots), healthy fats (such as avocado and heart healthy oils, like macadamia nut oil, coconut oil, avocado oil, ghee, etc), and proteins (such as cottage cheese, chicken, eggs, seafood, beef, or low carb protein powder) that are prepared using low carb/high fat methods, such as sauteed in olive oil and spices (not fried or breaded, etc.).

An example of a daily ketogenic menu includes the following:

  • Breakfast:  3 fried eggs topped with ghee and salsa with a side of sauerkraut + coffee mixed with Brain Octane oil
  • Snack 1:  cottage cheese
  • Lunch:  Baked veggies topped with avocado oil and grilled salmon
  • Snack 2:  Low carb/high protein protein bar
  • Dinner:  Kale salad mixed with veggies + flank steak
  • Dessert:  Small scoop of natural peanut butter
